Practicality in Montessori Schools


Montessori schools such as Kid Advance Montessori generally grooms the infant’s brain by imparting them with various practical life lessons some of them are described below.

Zipping Frame: It is basically a one zip frame on a cloth, the purpose of which is to teach the child how to zip and unzip themselves. The main point of interest here is to make sure that before beginning the zipping process, the pin is fully in the tab.

Snap Closure Dressing Frame: It is generally a one snap frame the main purpose of which is to teach the child how to unsnap and snap the snaps, which helps them to do things independently. It is generally taught to children from 3 to 3 ½ years of age.

Safety Pins DressingFrame: It is usually a one safety pin frame which is used to teach the children how to pin and unpin safety pins safely. The main point of interest here which is to be noted is the moment when the tip gets unhooked from the catch. It is taught to children between 4 to 5 years of age.

Buckles Dressing Frame:  It is a one buckle frame which is used to teach children how to buckle and unbuckle themselves. It is generally taught to children between 3 ½ to 4 years of age.

Bag Clipping dressing Frame: This bag clip frame is used to teach children how to fasten clothing. It helps them to learn coordination, do things independently, etc.

Long Red Rods: Ten red rods, the unit of difference between each rod are 10 cm. It’s basically used to help the child learn about differences in dimensions of length. It is used for children between 3 ½ to 4 years.
